LBs or Inches Lost:
80 Lbs. From size 18 to 4 in two years.
Jac: How did you feel before you began your weight loss journey, and what made you decide to start taking action to make those changes?
Nikki: I was really unhappy and embarrassed when I looked in the mirror. I didn't like the way people looked at me. Being in high school I wanted to play sports, but I was tired and my weight always held back my performance. I knew I needed to find the self confidence. It was so upsetting, I hated trying on clothes and the biggest size didn't fit me. I knew I needed to make a change. So I decided to change my lifestyle.
Jac: Who inspired you the most during that sensitive time?
Nikki: My friend Farrell, she was struggling with her weight as well and when she started to lose weight she encouraged me too.
Jac: How did you stay motivated and who motivated you to keep going?
Nikki: I stayed motivated by picturing myself fit and healthy. When I lost my first 20 lbs I thought "I can actually do this." That and my family I think motivated me the most. My family encouraged me and believed in me and that made me so happy I had to keep going
Jac: What do you appreciate the most now that you have transform your body and lifestyle?
Nikki: I think being more confident, comfortable with my body and my energy level. I love working out, I enjoy even the most challenging workouts with Mark. What I would really like to do is help others who struggle with their weight and inspire them to make a change.
Jac: What do people say that haven't seen you in awhile?
Nikki: Most don't even recognize me. They tell me I look amazing and ask how I did it.
Jac: How has your life changed now that you've lost weight?
Nikki: I learned that it takes a lot of hard work and determination to achieve my goals. I have also learned new healthy habits which have given me the energy and confidence I never had. I am so happy to have accomplished so much, I could never go back.
